Without relying on graphic violence, the film creates tension through uncertainty, fear, and emotional realism, capturing the psychological impact of school violence with restraint and humanity.

Lockdown is a short film by award-winning Writer/Director Melanie Jeffcoat and was inspired by her own experience in high school when a classmate came to school with a gun and killed her history teacher and then shot and wounded two classmates.
